SIMA Kapas Plucker
The Association had designed and developed user friendly battery-operated user friendly hand-held SIMA Kapas Plucker, to address the issue of shortage of farm hands during the kapas plucking period. By using the plucker, the cost of cotton plucking, could brought down to one-fifth resulting in sizable reduction in the cost of cotton cultivation. At the same time, kapas so plucked would be contamination free and fetch higher price in the market than manually plucked kapas.

The SIMA Kapas Plucker has been in the empanelled list of Farm Implements Machinery under Harvesting Technology for the distribution of the machine under National Agriculture Development Programme aimed at doubling the farmers’ income.
